Chief Warden Training​

This course is structured in accordance with AS 3745-2010/Amendment 2- 2018 Planning for emergencies in facilities and AS 4083-2010 Planning for emergencies – Health care facilities.

This course consists of theory based classroom style information session.

The session will contain the following information:-

  • Duties Emergency Plan
  • Role and Responsibilities
  • Duty of Emergency Planning Committee
  • Specific Emergencies Actions
  • Use of Installed Emergency Response Equipment
  • Coordination of Communications during Emergencies
  • Emergency Control Organisation Role and Responsibilities
  • Liaison with Emergency Services
  • Coordination of Evacuation Activities

Warden Training Course

This course is structured in accordance with AS 3745-2010/Amendment 2-2018 Planning for emergencies in facilities and AS 4083-2010 Planning for emergencies – Health care facilities.

This course consists of theory based classroom style information session.

The session will contain the following information:-

  • Duties of the ECO as described in the Emergency response procedure duties
  • Procedures for specific emergencies
  • Responding to alarms and reports of emergencies
  • Reporting emergencies
  • Initiating installed emergency warning equipment
  • Use of Installed Emergency response equipment

Theory and Practical use of Portable Fire Equipment

Theory and Practical use of Portable Fire Equipment is conducted in accordance with AS3745-2010/Amendment 2-2018 Planning for Emergencies in Facilities.

Fire Extinguisher training under provisions in relation to Work Health & Safety Regulations 2012 Chapter 3, General Risk & Workplace Management – Part 2 General Workplace Management, Divisions 1 and 4 will apply.

This course consists of theory based classroom style information session and/or practical session which will take place in a suitable area on site. The session will contain the following information:-

  • Fire Theory
  • Workplace Fire Awareness
  • Identification of Fire Extinguishers in the workplace
  • Water Fire Extinguisher Information
  • CO2 Fire Extinguisher Information
  • DCP Fire Extinguisher Information
  • Practical Fire Extinguisher Training
  • Fire Extinguisher Operating Procedures
  • Fire Blanket Applications

Evacuation Exercises

Evacuation response to emergencies will be structured in accordance with AS 3745- 2010/Amendment 2-2018 Planning for emergencies in facilities and AS 4083-2010 Planning for emergencies – Health care facilities.

Evacuation training under provisions in relation to Work Health & Safety Regulations 2012 Chapter 3, General Risk & Workplace

Management – Part 2 General Workplace Management, Divisions 1 and 4 will apply.

This exercises and training are conducted in your workplace and consists of the following:-

  • Exercise briefing and de-briefing
  • General Staff awareness
  • Practical Assessment of the Emergency Control Organisation
  • Evacuation Report to management on exercise summary and effectiveness

Occupant Training

This course is structured in accordance with AS 3745-2010/Amendment 2-2018 Planning for emergencies in facilities and AS 4083-2010 Planning for emergencies – Health care facilities. Provisions in relation to Work Health & Safety Regulations 2012 Chapter 3, General Risk & Workplace Management – Part 2 General Workplace Management, Divisions 1 and 4 will apply.

This course consists of theory based classroom style information session.
The session will contain the following information:-

  • Occupant Responsibilities
  • Types of Emergencies
  • How to report emergencies & activate alarms
  • Recognising & reporting unsafe conditions
  • Roles, responsibilities & identification of ECO members

  • Location of assembly area/s
  • Location of egress routes
  • Procedures for specific emergencies

Orientation Training​

This course is structured in accordance with AS 3745-2010/Amendment 2-2018 Planning for emergencies in facilities and AS 4083-2010 Planning for emergencies – Health care facilities.
